It is generally necessary to understand these two knowledge:
1. Low-power servo motors can be used with large reducers, but high-power motors cannot be used with small reducers;
2. Under the same specifications, the reducer with high rigidity will have better quality.
In addition, the matching of servo motor and reducer needs to consider these four dimensions: torque, speed, accuracy and inertia ratio.
1）The matching of servo motor and reducer needs to consider torque
In the application, it is assumed that the rated torque of the motor is 8Nm and the speed ratio is 12, and the rated torque of the selected reducer needs to be greater than 8*12, so the torque mainly depends on whether the motor, reducer and speed ratio are applicable;
Accuracy: directly reflects the positioning accuracy of the equipment. The precision of planetary reducer can effectively improve the quality of workpiece, and some high-precision industries require higher precision of reducer. Under normal cleaning conditions, the precision of planetary reducer is about 3arcmin, and the precision of NEUGART reducer can be less than 1arcmin.
2）The matching of servo motor and reducer needs to consider speed
The higher the equipment speed, the higher the efficiency;
3）The matching of servo motor and reducer needs to consider inertia ratio
The smaller the inertia ratio, the higher the dynamic stability of the equipment.
The selection of planetary reducer needs to be based on the specific requirements of the equipment. If the equipment needs a right-angle planetary reducer, then the model that meets the parameters should be selected in the right-angle planetary reducer, and the speed, torque and speed ratio of the reducer are equal to the specific requirements, or the appropriate parameters should be selected according to the requirements of equipment operation.
However, there will be great differences between different types of reducers, and the radial load of flange output reducer will be much stronger than that of shaft output reducer.
